One block south of Gramercy Park is an entire block that was designed and/or renovated in 1909 and dubbed “The Block Beautiful.” In one of these charming old buildings two apartments were gutted and combined to create a spacious, light-filled space. French and American furniture from the 1930s and 40s were ideal for this sophisticated environment that blends the graciousness of the 19th century with the ease of a modern urban space.
