The challenge of this project was to provide a setting worthy of an important collection of art and antiques. A long-time client had just relocated from Manhattan to a sprawling house in a wonderful location; however, it lacked interior architectural distinction.
The floor plan was changed to open up the space and all the rooms were oriented to the water views. Custom woodwork, color-saturated walls and bold stone and tile added definition – all appropriate for a tropical climate. Carefully chosen modern furnishings were added to meld the antiques with the modern architecture.
