This penthouse in Charleston, South Carolina, one of the most beautiful cities in America, had it all: eleven-foot ceilings, gracefully proportioned rooms, wonderful details and abundant light streaming in through huge windows overlooking Charleston Harbor.

The space called for a bold style that would break out of the traditional mold, and luckily my clients were eager to do something special. We went all out for glamour with billowing draperies, mirrored surfaces and a deft mix of French 40s and Hollywood Regency furniture – all contributing to the underlying theme of relaxed sophistication and elegance.
